Dry Shampoo Spray?

I love washing my hair but I have been told that it is best to not wash it daily and I hate how oily it gets on the days I don’t wash it. Years ago, my sis-in-law suggested I use good ol’baby powder to keep it from being oily. I love the idea, did it often but hate the powder residue. Recently found this idea: Dry Shampoo Spray at HookableDesigns. I was so eager to explore new options, I tried it, and now LOVE it!

Recipe:
1 tbsp – Corn Starch
1 tbsp – Rubbing Alcohol
4 tbsp – Water

Need:
1-Spray Bottle

How to:
Mix all ingredients in the spray bottle and mist lightly on oily areas.

I used the blow-dryer to dry out the mist and there was some corn starch residue on my hair. I brushed it off, my hair felt a bit stiff at first but after styling, it was as if I had just washed it.

If you try it, let me know what you think. =)

Re-create Crayons!

My oldest boy (2 years old) loves crayons and breaks them often. =) So I decided to do something with the broken pieces. This activity can be done with the help of a child but adult supervision is a must.

This is what I did:

1. Peel all broken crayons.

2. Break into small pieces and fit into a fun mold. Similar colors together are awesome but rainbow crayons are the best!

3. Melt in the microwave (I did 1 minute initially then 30 second intervals – until completely melted, about 3 minutes total for the molds I chose).

4. Wait for them to dry and ta-da! New crayons! =)

My LO loved them! I hope you do too. Enjoy!
